Cathrine Bates, R.N., Receives the DAISY Award

Cathrine Bates, R.N., a clinical nurse in the PICU, is the DAISY Award recipient. She was nominated for this honor by a parent who wrote:

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for Cathrine. Her genuine compassion and the way she really listened to our concerns was outstanding. She helps makes this hospital a step above the rest.”

Cathrine’s manager added:

“Cathrine joined the PICU in 2020 as a member of the R.N. Residency Program. She has demonstrated clinical growth and displayed professionalism in all of her patient care assignments. Cathrine works well with her peers, is dedicated and independently seeks new learning experiences. She is often recognized by her colleagues, patients and families for her kind, compassionate spirit even during the most challenging times. We are proud to have Cathrine on our team and happy to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.”
