Members of our generous community have been asking what they can do to help support our caregivers and our patients during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. Here we have collected these important ways you can assist Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
Donations of Supplies
We are closely monitoring our supply of personal protective equipment and infection control supplies to ensure our clinical teams have what they need to keep our patients and one another safe. At this time, we are accepting the following items:
- Masks (surgical and N95)
- Face shields/goggles
Please note we will not accept used or opened items.
For handsewn masks to be used in non-patient care settings, please follow these instructions to make masks for children (PDF) and these for adults (PDF) using 100% cotton fabric with a pattern (not a solid color or blue and white).
Volunteers can use their own fabric or our Volunteer Resources team has kits that contain instructions and material to make 36 masks (or multiples of). If you are interested in a kit, please contact Volunteer Services at 727-767-4254 or ACHvolunteers@jhmi.edu.
Pick up/drop off of materials will be:
Monday and Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Wednesday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
500 7th Ave S (1st floor conference room)
St. Pete, FL 33701
Note: While the masks are not medical-grade and cannot be used by health care providers as protection from COVID-19 during patient-provider interactions, the products may be helpful in non-patient care settings to contain coughs and to remind people not to touch their face.
We are accepting the items above Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hospital’s Central Energy Plant, located at 461 8th Avenue South (loading dock on the east side of the building), in St. Petersburg. For questions, call 727-767-4446.
