Meet Audrina, Johns Hopkins All Children's Heart Patient

Posted on Nov 07, 2017

Audrina has undergone numerous heart surgeries and procedures, and is likely to undergo more in the coming years. She was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosus, where the pulmonary artery and the aorta are fused.

As technology has evolved, the team at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute has used cutting-edge, less invasive procedures, such as the Melody Valve, for Audrina.

She was recently named the ‘fastest girl runner’ in her class. Not bad for a kid with a lifetime of heart issues.
