Sandra Horan, R.N., Receives the DAISY Nurse Leader Award

Sandra Horan, R.N. clinical manager in Perioperative Services, is the recipient of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

Members of her team wrote:

“Sandra is an inspiring leader who always goes above and beyond. She has an open door policy, encourages us to provide our feedback, brainstorm and problem solve to come up with solutions as a team. She is supportive, resilient and calm even during the most challenging times.”

“Sandra helps play a crucial role as a clinical manager – covering radiology, PreOp, the recovery room and surgical extended care unit (SECU). She has created an environment of mutual respect, compassion and trust that allows us to successfully work together as a multidisciplinary team made up of surgeons, anesthesiologists, physical therapists, child life and more.”

“Her enthusiasm spreads throughout our entire team. She motivates us daily, and for that we are grateful.”

Sandra’s leadership team added:
