Johns Hopkins All Children’s Ranked #1 Children’s Hospital in Tampa Bay Area and Florida’s West Coast by U.S. News & World Report
St. Petersburg, Fla. – June 14, 2022 – Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital once again ranked as a best children’s hospital by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital ranked nationally in four specialty areas, led by the neurology and neurosurgery program, which achieved the hospital’s highest ranking ever. Johns Hopkins All Children’s was once again the only children’s hospital in the Tampa Bay area and along Florida’s West Coast named to the list. Each year, the rankings are designed to assist families in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions.
The magazine’s 2022-2023 list ranked Johns Hopkins All Children’s among the top 50 nationally in the following specialty areas:

This year, the magazine collected and analyzed data from 119 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. The methodology for the list, factors in measures such as patient outcomes, including mortality and infection rates, as well as health equity and available clinical resources, compliance with best practices, and efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion among patients and staff.
Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore ranked nationally in 10 specialty areas. Since joining the Johns Hopkins Health System in 2011, specialists at All Children’s have collaborated with colleagues in Baltimore on a variety of treatment and research initiatives.
