Welcome to the Office of Medical Education at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. We invite you to explore our unique educational programs for medical students, residents and fellows.
Designing new approaches to graduate medical education was a priority when All Children’s Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine. Faculty in St. Petersburg and Baltimore shared a creative vision to shape a new program for pediatric residents that allowed for early career discussions while providing innovative curricula focused on leadership, research, quality improvement, advocacy and individualized medicine. We have built on this foundation with the establishment of several fellowship programs in the pediatric and surgical subspecialties.
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital offers a 90-plus-year tradition of clinical excellence combined with expertise in simulation, health care informatics, health systems science, and clinical and translational research. Not only do we provide services for children in our community, but we also serve as a referral site for children throughout Florida and beyond. A 230,000 square-foot research and education building is home to research laboratories and a biorepository, a state-of-the-art simulation center, collaborative workspaces and classrooms, and a lounge for our residents and fellows.
Diversity and inclusion are core values of Johns Hopkins Medicine. We believe that prioritizing these values enhances our ability to achieve health equity, build strong teams and community partnerships, and drive innovation. Without a doubt, our educational programs, and the teaching and learning that occurs within them, are enriched by an inclusive clinical learning environment that values and celebrates the contributions of individuals with varying life perspectives and experiences.
In these unprecedented times, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital remains committed to the vision of “Creating healthy tomorrows … for one child, for All Children.” The Office of Medical Education is proud to contribute to this vision by providing trainees with innovative, individualized training experiences and graduating pediatricians and surgeons who will be leaders in child health.
