Medical Students

The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Office of Medical Education welcomes interested students to apply for our high-yield clinical and/or research electives at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. All electives are considered a competitive process where students demonstrating the strongest academic achievement and interest in developing a career in pediatrics will be given priority.

Available Electives – 2 or 4 weeks

  • General Pediatrics
  • Infectious Disease
  • Gastroenterology
  • NICU
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Pulmonology

Eligibility Requirements

  • The student must be in good academic standing in a M.D. or D.O. degree program at a school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education or Education Department of the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Completion of a core clerkship in Pediatrics with grades of a B or higher, high honors, high pass or equivalent.

Application Process and Required Documentation

All documents must be uploaded no later than 30 days prior to the elective start date.

Applications will be reviewed after May 15, 2019.
