Dr. Silva is a bilingual adolescent medicine physician in the Adolescent Medicine and Young Adult Specialty Clinic at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2022.
Dr. Silva earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Florida Health College of Medicine, Jacksonville, Florida. She also completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Her research focuses on addressing the reproductive and sexual health disparities that impact adolescents and young adults who live in poverty and are of racial and ethnic minority groups. Her clinical interests include family planning, contraception counseling, mental health, substance use, trauma-informed care and STI prevention and treatment for adolescents and young adults.
