Background
Dr. Young is chair of the Department of Pediatric Medicine. She joined the pediatric hospitalist program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2010. A graduate of the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine, she completed her pediatric residency at USF and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital’s Medicine Quality of Care Committee in 2011.
In 2017, Dr. Young became chair of the Department of Pediatric Medicine,after serving as vice chair in 2016. Dr. Young participated in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Armstrong Institute’s patient Safety and Quality Leadership Academy, a nine-month program that prepares leaders to transform the clinical health care setting to eliminate harm and build a culture of caring.
