Dr. Drew Rideout is surgical director of the intestinal rehabilitation program in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery in newborns, children and adolescents.
He joined the pediatric surgery program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2013. Dr. Rideout also travels to Latin America and Africa to support surgical programs. He leads the pediatric surgery service at Tampa General Hospital.
Dr. Rideout completed his general surgery residency and a research fellowship at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and completed his pediatric surgery fellowship at fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Rideout received his medical degree from Stony Book School of Medicine. He also earned a Ph.D. in medical sciences with a concentration in molecular pharmacology & physiology from the USF Morsani College of Medicine. He is board certified in pediatric surgery.
