Dr. Stapleton is a pediatric interventional cardiologist and serves as Johns Hopkins All Children’s division chief of pediatric cardiology and medical director of the cardiac catheterization lab at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. Dr. Stapleton is active in research and education in interventional cardiology and has launched innovative techniques at Johns Hopkins All Children’s to treat congenital heart disease without the need for open heart surgery. He did a pediatric residency with San Antonio Uniformed Services in Texas and was a general pediatrician at Eglin Air Force Base before completing both a pediatric cardiology fellowship and pediatric interventional fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
