Dr. Groves is a pediatric neurosurgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She sees patients once a month and operates on complex spinal disorders at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Groves earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She trained in general surgery and neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Groves completed a clinical and research fellowship in spinal oncology and served as chief resident of neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She also trained as a pediatric neurosurgery fellow at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and a pediatric spine fellowship at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Groves treats children with brain and spinal cord tumors, Chiari Malformations, myelomeningocele, spasticity and epilepsy. She also focuses on spinal deformity and spinal oncology. Her research interests include spinal deformity, skeletal dysplasia and intramedullary spinal cord tumors.
