Dr. Alexander is interim director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. He joined the hospital staff in July, 2016.
Dr. Alexander earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He trained in pediatrics at the University of South Florida College of Medicine/Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and served as chief resident in general pediatrics. He then completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at Duke University Children’s Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Alexander also holds a M.B.A. with an emphasis in health sector management and policy from the University of Miami.
