Traci and Jordan had no need to exchange Christmas presents two years ago. They had already received a gift greater than they could have imagined that Christmas Eve – finally getting to bring home their baby son, Jude, from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
He came into the world at just 24 weeks – born four months premature and weighing only one pound, eight ounces. The expectant parents knew that their baby would arrive early, but Traci's intense contractions so soon into her pregnancy were a shock. Suddenly, she was being rushed into the delivery room at Bayfront Baby Place, located right inside Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Jude was born less than a half an hour later, then moved quickly to ACH's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
