For children who require any inpatient care, our team works to make our patients’ transition from inpatient care at their hospital to outpatient care seamless. Our physicians also provide care at a number of hospitals in the community including Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Manatee Memorial Hospital and Bayfront Health Port Charlotte, as part of our affiliations with these institutions.

Care for Adults with Congenital Heart Disease

Children with congenital heart defects are living well into adulthood due to advances in treatment. At Johns Hopkins All Children’s, we continue to provide care for our pediatric patients as they enter adulthood as part of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program.

We provide care for teens and adults with known congenital heart disease (CHD) or those newly diagnosed with CHD, who benefit from being seen by a cardiologist with expertise in congenital issues. We see adult patients in Tampa and St. Petersburg, and some services for adult cardiology patients may also be available in Sarasota and North Port, depending on each patient’s condition.
