Pediatric Cardiology in Hillsborough County

Learn more about our pediatric cardiology services in Tampa and Brandon.

Your child can receive the expert cardiac care he or she needs closer to home at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care Centers in Hillsborough County, with locations in Tampa and Brandon.

Our Heart Institute treats children for the full range of pediatric cardiac conditions, from common to complex, and provide diagnostic services. For children who may need heart surgery or interventional cardiology services, which are performed at our main hospital location in St. Petersburg, we work closely with the heart surgery and interventional cardiology teams to create a treatment plan that meets your child’s needs.

Fetal Heart Care

We offer fetal cardiology services in both Tampa and Brandon, including fetal echocardiograms. A fetal echocardiogram is a type of ultrasound used to take pictures of a baby’s heart in-utero in order to diagnose heart conditions before birth. We provide you and your unborn child with expert, personalized care, including treatment planning and management before, during and after delivery. Learn more about the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Fetal Heart Program

Multiple Specialties at One Location

Providers in a number of other specialties also see patients at the Tampa and Brandon locations. Our cardiology patients who have complex conditions requiring care from multiple specialists often don’t have to travel for additional care, and our physicians are able to work closely together from the same facility.

Care for Adults with Congenital Heart Disease

Children with congenital heart defects are living well into adulthood due to advances in treatment. At Johns Hopkins All Children’s, we continue to provide care for our pediatric patients as they enter adulthood as part of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program.

We provide care for teens and adults with known congenital heart disease (CHD) or those newly diagnosed with CHD, who benefit from being seen by a cardiologist with expertise in congenital issues. We see adult patients in Tampa and St. Petersburg, and some services for adult cardiology patients may also be available in Brandon, depending on each patient’s condition.
