Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital

MyChart

The MyChart Patient Portal is an online tool that provides medical information about care provided at Johns Hopkins All Children’s and connects you to your health care team.

Welcome to MyChart!

While making the transition to MyChart from our previous platform, there are a few things that Parents or Guardians who use MyChart should be aware of:

  • Three years of lab results, notes, visits and other health information from our previous electronic medical record (EMR) system were transferred to MyChart. If you need older medical records, you can request medical records from our Health Information Management (HIM) department.
  • Parents or guardians accessing information about a patient ages 13-17 will only have  limited access to MyChart, with the ability to message some of their providers and view/pay  bills online. This limited access reflects privacy laws and encourages teens to feel comfortable sharing health concerns with their care team. Teens aged 13-17 are encouraged to establish their own MyChart account, where they can see their full information.

Types of MyChart Access

  • When the patient is age 12 or younger:
Parents/guardians can request a proxy account and will have full access to the child’s MyChart information.
  • For patients ages 13 –17:
Parents/guardians can continue to use MyChart to share messages with some of their providers and view or pay bills. This limited access reflects privacy laws and encourages teens to feel comfortable sharing health concerns with their care team.
Teens aged 13-17 are encouraged to establish their own MyChart account, where they can see their full information.
  • For young adults ages 18 and older:
When the patient turns 18, the parent/guardian’s proxy access automatically ends. The patient may complete and sign an adult proxy authorization to continue their parent/guardian’s proxy access.
