Vanessa Scarborough, Ph.D. Psychiatry / Psychology
Dr. Scarborough is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist, who conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with acquired, congenital and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a special focus on known or suspected neurocognitive dysfunction. Her areas of clinical expertise include epilepsy and traumatic brain disorders. She joined the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences in 2017 after seven years on the pediatric neuropsychology faculty at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Scarborough completed a neuropsychology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a neuropsychology internship at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has conducted research in pediatric epilepsy and Albright hereditary osteodystrophy. She earned a master’s of science in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology, in Chicago, Illinois. While completing her graduate studies she served as a research assistant at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s) and Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Scarborough is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
