Avner Meoded, M.D. Radiology

Dr. Meoded specializes in pediatric radiology in the Department of Surgery. Neuroradiology is Dr. Meoded’s clinical and research focus. He conducts research on the use of diffusion tensor imaging in pediatric brain disorders, brain tumors and traumatic brain injury, working closely with colleagues from the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences to improve outcomes for patients through treatment and research. Dr. Meoded’s work is recognized by experts in the field of neuroradiology, and he has received numerous awards including the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) Cornelius G. Dyke memorial award, the Fellows Award for Research Excellence (FARE) honored by the National Institute of Health and the 2016 Radiological Society of North America Roentgen Resident/Fellow research award for outstanding radiologic research. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Neurophysiology and Neurological Disorders. His is an assistant professor of radiology with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Joseph Potthast, M.D. Radiology

Dr. Potthast is chairman and medical director of the Division of Radiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2004 as a diagnostic neuroradiologist and pediatric interventional radiologist. He is also associate clinical professor of diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology for the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Potthast earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore and his diagnostic radiology residency at the LSU Medical Center Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of South Florida.

Javier Quintana, M.D. Radiology

Dr. Quintana is a radiologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined hospital staff in 2010. Dr. Quintana earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida. He trained in general pediatrics at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami and completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Quintana completed a pediatric radiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is fluent in Spanish.
