Spencer Alford, MDiv, is a chaplain in the hematology-oncology inpatient and outpatient units and the Emergency Center at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an alumnus of Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he graduated with his Master of Divinity. He also holds 17 years of experience working with children, youth and families in various capacities ranging from serving as a camp counselor to working in a psychiatric hospital as a mental health associate. Before joining the team in 2020, he completed his Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where he served as chaplain resident on the hematology-oncology inpatient and outpatient units. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Chaplains.
