Dr. Hess, a pediatric ophthalmologist, became chief of the medical staff in January 2017 after a one-year term as vice chief. Dr. Hess also chaired the medical staff’s Medical Care Evaluation Committee in 2016. He joined the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital medical staff in 2004.
After graduating from the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine, Dr. Hess completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Medical College of Virginia followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Duke University Eye Center.
Dr. Hess practices with Hess Pediatric Ophthalmology Specialists, which was founded more than 30 years ago by his father, J. Bruce Hess, M.D.
