Education for Health Professionals

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital prioritizes education, including special training programs, continuing medical education credits and grand rounds.

Ongoing health education is an important part of our mission. Ongoing classes and conferences open to all staff include weekly cardiac case conferences, daily PICU teaching conferences, weekly neurosurgical case conference, bimonthly echocardiography conferences, on-unit in-services, and Lunch and Learn programs. Many programs and classes are open to non-Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital professionals as well.

For Johns Hopkins All Children’s Non-Critical Care Team Members

We sponsor “Fundamentals of Pediatric Critical Care Support,” a special course to train non-intensive care members in the stabilization and transfer of patients of sick children to the critical care department. For more information, please contact Kim Kuperman at (727) 767-8424.

CME Options

For health professionals with an interest in critical care, several continuing medical education (CME) opportunities are available, as well as special training in critical care.

We offer weekly pediatric grand rounds each Friday at the hospital (aside from our summer hiatus) as well as a live webcast. Check the schedule for topics and cases related to critical care.
