Experience & Quality
Excellent results at the Johns Hopkins All Children's Heart Institute
Information about a heart surgery program's outcomes (results) and volume (the number of surgeries performed) can help parents make choices about their child's cardiac care.
Johns Hopkins All Children's Heart Institute is pleased to share our volumes and our outstanding results.
The pediatric heart surgery program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital was one of the first children's heart surgery programs in Florida. We've performed thousands of surgeries since our program began in 1976. In addition, we began performing pediatric heart transplants in 1995 and have performed more than 150 transplants.
As part of Johns Hopkins Children's Heart Surgery, we also work closely with the cardiovascular surgeons at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and at Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando. Together, our three centers are home to more than 1,000 pediatric and congenital cardiothoracic operations each year, making the program one of the largest in the United States of America.
