S. Parrish Winesett, M.D.

Dr. Winesett's practice is limited to the evaluation of intractable epilepsy for advanced procedures such as epilepsy surgery, vagal nerve stimulators, ketogenic diet, complex medication management and clinical trials. After a residency in pediatric/internal medicine at the University of South Florida, he completed his pediatric neurology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. In addition, he completed a pediatric epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinical and USF.

Dr. Winesett is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at USF. Dr. Winesett has written multiple academic chapters on pediatric and adult epilepsy.

Peter Huszar, M.D.

Pediatric neurologist Peter Huszar, M.D., is leading a Headache Clinic at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in addition to caring for children with seizure disorders and a variety of general pediatric neurology issues. He comes to Johns Hopkins All Children’s from the Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota, where he served as an attending pediatric neurologist. His clinical interests include headache and he is a member of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital multidisciplinary pediatric stroke program.

Dr. Huszar completed his pediatric neurology fellowship training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University in Szeged, Hungary, he did his pediatric residency training at Hungary's Erszebet Hospital and at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.

Himali Jayakody, M.D.

Himali Jayakody, M.D., joined the Neurology Department of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital from the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, where she completed her residency in neurology as well as a residency in pediatrics. She did her internship in the professorial unit of Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka and in general surgery in the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. Dr. Jayakody also served as Medical Officer in the Special Baby Care Unit at Base Hospital Panadura and Department of Rheumatology of Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a neurology resident, Dr. Jayakody was involved in clinical teaching for general pediatrics and medical students.

Eric R. Vernier, MD

Eric R. Vernier, M.D.

Dr. Vernier is a graduate of the Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador. Following a transitional residency at the Medical College of Georgia, he completed a residency in pediatrics at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center. Dr. Vernier completed a fellowship in child neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and an additional fellowship at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Vernier is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.
